(USNewsBreak.com) – Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is one of the most well-known names in politics at the moment for her staunch support of former President Donald Trump. Her divorce and a theater incident where she and her date disrupted those around them have also placed her in media headlines over the past few years. Recent reports reveal that authorities arrested and charged her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, in two different incidents.
The first incident came when Mr. Boebert had a confrontation with his ex-wife in The Miner’s Claim Restaurant located in Silt, Colorado, on January 6. In that situation, he was the one to call the police and told the dispatcher Lauren had punched him in the face.

When police arrived on the scene, the Colorado representative said the two were having dinner when the conversation changed to their respective partners and grew heated. During the argument, Lauren Boebert said she placed her finger on her ex-husband’s nose to shut him up, and he blew it out of proportion.
While at the restaurant, Jayson Boebert refused to stay outside as requested by the police and failed to cooperate with their “attempts to speak with him.” Law enforcement also asked him to leave several times, and he refused to comply. He faces three charges on that account: obstruction of a peace officer, third-degree trespass, and disorderly conduct. Officers cleared Lauren of any wrongdoing in that instance.
The next incident occurred three days later, on January 9, just after 1 a.m. During that event, his 18-year-old son called the police to Jayson Boebert’s residence due to an altercation between them. According to the arrest affidavit obtained by CBS News, Jayson had arrived home drunk and started a fight with his son over a baby being in a laundry basket.
The situation quickly devolved into a physical altercation, and Jayson allegedly grabbed a rifle at that time. The son said his mom told him to call authorities. Responding officers subsequently arrested Jayson and charged him with harassment, assault in the third degree, and prohibited use of weapons.
Authorities reported both incidents involved alcohol.
