DNC Pouring $15 Million Into Swing State Parties

(USNewsBreak.com) – Swing states can make or break an election for presidential candidates. For this reason, they tend to spend a lot of money in these regions to boost their reach and sway voters to cast their ballots for them. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) recently announced it planned to invest $15 million in swing-state parties.

On Tuesday, July 16, the DNC revealed how it was allocating a significant sum to the Democratic Parties in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Each will receive approximate sums between $1 million and $3 million, with Wisconsin allocated the highest amount.

The national committee is investing the money to build field offices across these key states in both rural and urban areas. The staff will help collect data and coordinate efforts for candidates in down-ballot races. So far, the DNC has opened 217 field offices in these states, with more than 1,000 staff members. In 2020, swing states secured President Joe Biden’s win. The DNC is hoping for a similar outcome.

However, this year, that might be a challenging task. Many Americans already have doubts as to whether the current commander-in-chief is up to the task of serving the country for four more years. He has faced multiple calls to step back from the 2024 DNC presidential nomination, even from within his own party.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is enjoying a gain in momentum following an attempt on his life on Saturday, July 13, at a Pennsylvania rally. His campaign has spent weeks coordinating with the Republican National Committee (RNC) to open field offices, much like the DNC is doing, in areas where they hope to reach key constituencies.

Political pundits expect the election to be very close this year, much like it was in 2020 when it came down to tens of thousands of votes in swing states. Even before the shooting last weekend, CBS News polling indicated that Trump had a 2-point lead on Biden in US battleground states.
