Actor Dies in Crash at 27

(USNewsBreak.com) – Accidents have claimed some of the most prominent stars over the years. James Dean, Jayne Mansfield, and Paul Walker are just a few of the big names. Now, one up-and-coming actor has joined the list.

In a statement to The Hill, actor Chance Perdomo’s publicist revealed the news that the actor had passed away at the age of 27 due to a motorcycle crash. While the details were sparse — it’s unclear where or when the crash occurred — he was the only person involved. Many knew Perdomo for “his passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life.” In a statement, his publicist asked that the public “respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn.”

Perdomo began his career in a handful of brief appearances on shows such as “Hetty Feather,” “Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators,” and “Midsomer Murders.” In 2018, he landed a role as Ambrose Spellman in the TV Series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” appearing in 36 episodes until the show’s end in 2020. From there, he joined a podcast series, “The Cipher.”

The young actor also appeared in three of the “After Ever” movies as Landon, a WCU student who became close to Tessa Bailey, the saga’s main character. He replaced Shane Paul McGhie, who played the character in the other installments.

At the time of his death, he was a regular on the Amazon Prime series “Gen V.” Cast members shared a joint statement after his passing, saying their “hearts are with Chance’s loved ones as [they] grieve this shocking loss.” They described him as a person who had an “infectious smile that could light up any room,” who gave “warm hugs,” and was an authentic person. They followed the statement with photos of him with actors Lizze Broadway, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas, Derek Luh, and Maddie Phillips, among others.

He was looking forward to filming season two of “Gen V.” The studio has delayed production indefinitely due to his passing.
