Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has been sued by a former employee identified as John Doe. Doe accuses the rapper of threatening his life through a series of alarming behaviors. The allegations were filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on October 10. The complaint lists charges including infliction of emotional distress, labor code offenses, and retaliation.

Doe, a military veteran suffering from PTSD, claims that Ye’s behavior led to panic attacks and anxiety. He was initially hired as a campaign director and later served as director of intelligence for Ye’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Ye allegedly instructed Doe to investigate various connections within the Kardashian family, accusing them of ties to criminal enterprises, including human trafficking. He also allegedly asked Doe to spy on his spouse, Biana Censori.

Doe further alleges that Ye failed to compensate him for work completed, including services as a travel nanny for Yeezy associates. Another common thread in the lawsuit is that tensions escalated following Doe’s report of child abuse allegations at Ye’s Donda Academy, culminating in a threatening call from Ye himself. The call allegedly involved Ye threatening to hurt or kill Doe if Doe “repeated what [he] learned from the Donda employee.”

Plaintiff’s attorneys emphasize Doe’s wish to remain anonymous due to safety concerns.

Seeking Justice

Doe is pursuing over $1 million in damages, citing unpaid wages, lost earnings, and other associated costs. A jury trial has been requested with a hearing set for December 19, putting a spotlight on the claims against Ye.

“Ye has only himself to blame for his mounting legal woes. He just can’t continue hiring employees, treating them terribly, then refusing to pay them in violation of numerous employment laws, let alone threaten to kill them as he did in this case,” Doe’s attorney, Ron Zambrano, said.
